Is wowowee really a good thing?

Now i head people claim that wowowee is such a good thing for the country. I say otherwies, for thhe peopel, there they would agree with me. The question that comes to my mind is wowowee really a good thing? I think it is far from a solution to a countries problem and some citizens of philpphines should think about it closly

I think that show is a disgrace. The near naked women, the countless crowd of uneducated people who don’t have a high school diploma, and the fact that the show is more of public porn channel is disgraceful. If they took out the scantily clad women, and gave people things to help themselves build themselves up such as job offer, and things that would help them out of poverty, it would be a good show. If the show gave people dignity and independence to work, that’s be best thing to do. Right now it’s just sending the wrong message. It’s telling women to look like prostitutes, it’s telling the Philippines isn’t based on hard work but being pretty and a celebrity, and lacks so many things.
There are times I wish they gave paid for scholarships for a year to the poor. That’s helpful. Or gave something the poor can use for their skills.

Wowowee is the best thing that happened to Showbiz lunch entertainment. Its phenomenal success goes beyond its generosity with money. It is enjoyable for many reasons: (1) Its Spontaneity- one feels like he’s in a carnival, the audience is interactive, the hosts and dancers never stop moving and dancing. Wowowee is a directorial nightmare, yet an organized chaos, where Boredom has no place. (2) the indefatigability of willie, from entrance to exit, this host knows his exact moves and words, pausing only to ad libs and during commercials. He is well-loved especially by the elderly and handicapped who shower him withhugs and pepper him with kisses and sometimes with gifts. He can sing,too (3) Very attractive talented co-hosts, not mention the sexy “Congratulations”, who never try to outshine or grab the limelight from Willie. (4) The tall and leggy ASF dancers, led by Luningning, Mariposa, Aiko, Saucy, and Milagring, with their uniformed height and hairdos which complement their synchronized choreography. Their very visible mentor, Ana, though she is usually the butt of Willie’s joke is a veteran who knows her job. (5) The presence of beautiful “unknown” in the audience is a bonus to the show, and Willie never ignores but appreciates their presence. (6) Instant sound effects and musical accompaniment by young musicians hardly seen even on US Television. (7) The occasional appearances of celebrities add glitter to the show. (8) The touching, sometimes sad, but always inspiring stories told by ordinary people with extra-ordinary lives to tell- more tear jerking than boring telenovelas. (9) Giling-Giling and other Wowowee theme songs that have captured the imagination of lovers and the hips of dancers. (10) Willie Revillame himself- who, despite the controversies he has weathered, continues to win more admirers, young and old alike, the rich and the poor. That Willie has not been dragged down by charges of sexual harassment or immorality despite all the visible temptations around him in and out of the studio. Only time will tell when Willie can say “Enough, already”.
Wowowee is a disgrace. The show is getting stale and hasn’t changed its format for years. The ‘Deal or No Deal’ style games is getting old. At least Eat Bulaga keeps things fresh with Pinoy Henyo and Bababoom. Furthermore, Willie is simply an asshole. He has been singing his tunes for months on end and even riling up the crowd to request him to sing. WTF! Stop wasting the airtime with your music. He can’t even sing. The show is mainly to feed his huge ego. He constantly makes fun of his own staff and always ridicules his contestants if they don’t speak English as well as him.
The hephephooray game is so unfair towards the elderly it makes me sick. There should be age limits set where it should only be elderly or only young people.
The stage guy Owen is such a pervert. He hasn’t changed ways. He has been warned many times about his actions yet he still chooses the sexy contestants over the poor audience members in the crowd.
This show is a disgrace and should be removed immediately. It’s just a 2 hour advertisement for Willie’s ego and the show has finally lost its touch to help the poor.
Dear Brian and all critics of Willie, (1) kindly avoid name-calling because prople who resort to name-calling are already losers kaya nag-mumura na lang gaya ba ng palenkero pag-wala ng masabi sumisagaw na lang “Gago!’ Malandi” Tang Ina MO!” without supporting evidence to prove that the guy is really Gago, malandi, or tang ina niya. Desperation ang tawag diyan, Walang laman, “all sound and fury signifying nothing “(2) Si Willie “Ass Hole” (Puwet)? Eh bakit kaya niyayakap ng mga elderly and handicapped ang “puwet”? Obviously inggit ka lang. I need not mention the media-published success of Willie from a drummer boy to what he is today. (3) Willie can’t sing? Di ka siguro nanood ng Wowowee where he fills in-tween segments with his singing, Nung Ka and Ikaw Nga to name a few while the audience sway, swoon and embrace with their loved ones. Ano ito mga dak-dak lang? Baka bingi ka? Beside, baka hindi ka pa naka-tapak sa mall na ang daming music CD’s of Willie naka-display on sale. (4) Hephep-Hooray needs only to re-arrange the participants from a straight to a U-shaped line so that the host can have quicker reach of all ten of the guests. If you find it boring, well that’s your opinion. (5) Wowowee is stale? Aling kaya ang stale, ang saging na luma na gaya ng Eat Bulaga o ang Wowowee na wala pa yatang 5 years, umarangkada sa rating. This is the reason ang Eat Bulaga ay natataranta kung ano anong game an inilalabas to match Wowowee. Brian maliit pa ako linalaro na namin ang “Pinoy Genyo” na iyan. Hindi original. Bababoom very slow ang pacing and I bet marami sa audience hindi alam ang objective ng game. Boring ito at nakaka-antok. Iwish I could stay watching Eat Bulaga for hours but just seeing the faces of the hosts two of whom are politicians, yung isa ay napakataba which never kept her body fit (irresponsible), si Joey de Leon na madalas nagbibitiw ng double entendre remarks, not to mention the offensive face of Alan K. I dare you to look at the face of Alan K. for hours and tell me honestly, masarap ba ang experience mo. Si Jose Manalo at si Wally sana ok and team work, pero nawala si Jose. (6) Speaking of format what do you mean palitan ang intro, body, and finale? Gayahin ang ibang shows. If you understand even a little in show production, ang pinapalitan yung lang mga minor parts-which Wowowee does when necessary- but not overhaul the whole facade of the show. It is a VARIETY show. Meaning may games, may singing, may quiz, may dance, may interviews- halo halo. Ito ba ang sabi mo na dapat palitan ang formate? I think you don’t even know what format means. As it’s said, no need to fix something when it’s not broken. It is your comments that need fixing. I don’t mean to insult you, Brian, but you have to go back to your humanities and arts subjects so you don’t embarrass yourself with your ridiculous comments.
